The Government has set out a number of major welfare reform
measures, which aim to combat poverty, support the most vulnerable
and help people break the lifecycle of dependency.
Fronting the campaign is Jobcentre Plus who with the support of
local businesses is creating opportunities for people who are
looking for work.
As an investor in people, Duo was keen to support the campaign
and has offered three different opportunities to help people gain
work experience and skills.
Work Experience - We will provide a work experience placement to
help a young person gain valuable experience to enhance their
skills and help them when applying for jobs.
Work academies - For our specific industry, manufacturing,
we are offering pre-employment training and work placements, which
will provide opportunities to harness fresh new talent for our
industry and our business.
New Enterprise Allowance - We will support those looking
to move into self-employment by providing access to finance and
valuable support by mentoring and guiding people through the
challenges of starting up a business.
Continuous improvement has been integral in Duo's growth and
successes. We have an award winning training programme to develop
the skills of our workforce and enable future growth and stability
for the business.
We are happy to extend this opportunity to people who are
looking for work and assist the Jobcentre Plus with their
campaign.
