Following the riots in Manchester the 'I Love MCR' campaign aims
to show the world that the people of Manchester are proud of their
city and united against anti-social behaviour.
With an 85 mancunian strong workforce, the whole Duo team were
keen to show their support for the campaign and love for the city
of Manchester. To help promote the campaign within the city Duo
manufactured 10,000 I love MCR branded polythene bags which were
kindly donated to the campaign for use in the Manchester stores and
stalls throughout the week.
Duo serves many of the UK leading high street retailers who were
heavily affected by the rioting that occurred earlier this month
and they were keen to assist in any way they could to help recover
confidence in the community, get people back shopping the in city
and help the retailers recover.
Brand Manager Zoe Brimelow said, "As a local Manchester business
we were keen to help support the campaign and promote positivity
within the city. It was a great effort from the Duo team who truly
pulled together to ensure the bags were ready for the launch day
and we are exceptionally proud of the result. In true Manchester
style the weather didn't disappoint and the rain was present, thank
goodness the bags were polythene and waterproof!"
On behalf of the Duo team Zoe expressed "There is a great
feeling of community within the city today and we are happy to have
been able to contribute to the success of the day."
